Pharmacokinetic Study of Abacavir Sulphate Loaded Niosomes and Proniosomes in Rats

The plasma pharmacokinetic study of abacavir sulphate was investigated after oral administration free solution, freshly prepared niosomal and proniosomal dispersions. loaded niosome vesicles were by the thin-film hydration method proniosomes slurry using tween 60 as surfactant cholesterol a membrane stabilizer dicetyl phosphate negative charge inducer. Maltodextrin used carrier in proniosome formulations. formulations evaluated for various evaluation parameters such drug-polymer interaction, phase identification analysis vivo study. comparative pharmacokinetics free, encapsulated rats at dose 8.57 mg/kg sulphate. results showed significant increase bioavailability prolonged release characteristics. Increased half-life 3.40 h case niosomes 4.88 observed. Based on results, it can be concluded that formulation could promising delivery system with improved drug profiles.
